This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Client Relationship Specialist - Group Benefits based in Canada.

We are seeking a senior client relationship professional to support group benefits clients and advisors throughout the post-sales lifecycle. The role combines account management, complex problem resolution, client service, and business development within a collaborative insurance environment. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for plan administrators, brokers, producers, and advisors, helping them navigate contractual, administrative, and plan design needs.

The position also contributes directly to client retention, premium growth, and regional sales objectives. You will work alongside Sales Consultants to identify opportunities, prepare presentations, and strengthen strategic relationships. Accountabilities:

- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, advisors, producers, and group plan administrators, providing high-quality post-sales account management and support.
- Independently manage complex client and advisor inquiries, assessing issues, determining appropriate actions, and recommending effective solutions with minimal supervision.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with producers, group plan administrators, brokers, and advisors.
- Identify cross-selling and premium growth opportunities while supporting regional sales objectives, client retention, and persistency.
- Partner with Sales Consultants to identify and develop opportunities, including participating in advisor meetings, delivering presentations, preparing client materials, and coordinating reports.
- Support the installation of current business through effective client strategy, coordination, and relationship management.
- Process and coordinate client requests, including policy terminations, Agent of Record transfers, plan design changes, legal name updates, billing adjustments, and other administrative changes.
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with plan administrators and brokers to understand needs, resolve issues,



and strengthen relationships.
- Maintain accurate producer and advisor information across Salesforce.com, licensing, compensation, and related systems.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve client satisfaction, resolve problems, and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Contribute to achieving team and regional objectives through exceptional service, effective account management, and business development support.

Requirements:

- Solid knowledge of Group Health and Dental insurance products.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the employee benefits service industry is preferred.
- Proven experience in account management, client service, and complex problem resolution.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, brokers, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Confidence and proficiency in delivering presentations to professional audiences.
- Excellent time management, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to independently analyze complex client issues and develop practical, client-focused solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of additional Group lines of business, including Disability and Individual Insurance, is an asset.
- Proficiency with systems such as Salesforce.com, Content Manager, Microsoft Office, and Group Portal is an asset.
- Professional designations such as GBA (Group Benefits Associate) or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) are an asset.
- A valid BC driver's license and insured vehicle are considered an asset.
- Strong customer service, conflict management, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team while managing multiple priorities independently.
