Our system powers applications spanning consumer products, B2B offerings, and internal tools, enabling cohesive, accessible, and scalable components across all touch points.You'll bridge design and engineering, creating space to do great work supporting product teams, whether they need front-end expertise, accessibility knowledge, or help shipping features faster. clarify ownership, and set transparent expectations for the teamHelp shape the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our design systemOwn the technical vision and execution for the design systemEvangelize & EducatePromote the design system through workshops, presentations, and documentation that helps product engineers ship features independently, telling the story of how it connects to business outcomes throughout the organizationEstablish strong relationships with engineering, design, and product to understand their challenges, deliver solutions that help, and position the team as essential partners in shipping great productsTeam ImpactGuide teammates through pairing, code reviews, and technical guidance that raises the bar for the entire teamFoster a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and healthy debate lead to better solutionsIdentify and solve complex technical challenges independently, knowing when to collaborate and when to drive forward with convictionQualifications Education & Work ExperienceBachelor's degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2 years developing distributed UIs, components, and patterns at scaleTechnical SkillsProficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTMLSolid understanding of Tailwind CSS and utility-first CSS frameworksDeep background with React and familiarity with other modern frameworksWell versed in web accessibility basics and technologies such as WCAG 2.1 and WAI-ARIAProven track record writing comprehensive test coverage that catches edge casesSolid understanding of the ecosystem and comfort extending or debugging tooling like Webpack, Vite, esbuild, and TypeScript Compiler (tsc)Knowledge of micro front-end (MFE) architecture and distributed system patternsComfortable with API development and troubleshootingUnderstanding of repository management and workflow automation across external tools like Figma or ZeroheightAbility managing contribution pipelines and coordinating cross-team workflowsDesign System ExperienceSignificant experience scaling design systems, ideally in a centralized capacity for large-scale consumer or enterprise productsDeep expertise in design standards and principles, accessibility, and design operationsProficiency with Figma and Storybook for design collaboration and component documentationHigh standard for quality and attention to detailLeadership & CollaborationAbility to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across design, engineering, product, and businessTrack record of identifying and communicating developer experience improvements that make teams more effectiveNice to HaveExperience integrating AI, automation,
