Join our agile dental team as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our busy dental practice. Duties
Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls and providing excellent customer service
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately within Epic and other systems
Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining sterilization protocols
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including insurance verification and payment processing
Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and clinical workspace to promote safety and efficiency
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing,
and managing correspondence to support daily office operations
Skills
Proficiency with dental software
Solid knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, especially with multi-line phone systems and front desk interactions
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with dental assisting procedures, including taking X-rays and sterilization techniques, is a plus
Demonstrated organizational skills with experience managing office tasks such as appointment scheduling and record keeping
