Dispatcher -Asset Division The Dispatcher oversees daily fleet operations for the U.S. asset division, ensuring drivers, equipment, and freight are scheduled, routed, and supported effectively. This role manages communication between drivers, customers, operations, and maintenance teams while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and service performance.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and dispatch company drivers and equipment based on load requirements, customer needs, and operational priorities.
Plan, assign, and monitor routes to maximize asset utilization, minimize empty miles, and ensure on‑time pickup and delivery.
Communicate continuously with drivers via phone, messaging, or dispatch software to provide instructions, updates, and support.
Track driver locations and load progress using TMS, GPS, and ELD systems; respond to delays, breakdowns, or exceptions in real time.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, load details, driver hours, and equipment status.
Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations, hours‑of‑service rules, and company safety policies.
Collaborate with operations, customer service, and maintenance to resolve issues, schedule repairs, and support customer commitments.




Provide customer updates on load status, ETAs, and service exceptions.
Optimize fleet efficiency by matching freight with available drivers and equipment, considering driver hours, location, and skill set.
Support after‑hours or weekend operations as needed.

Qualifications
Experience in trucking, logistics, or fleet operations (1–3 years preferred).
Knowledge of U.S. DOT/FMCSA regulations.
Familiarity with asset‑based dispatching, load planning, or driver management.
High school diploma required; logistics or transportation coursework an asset.
