The Role
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward to support our kitchen team. This is an essential role for someone who works efficiently, stays organized and takes pride in keeping a clean and safe workplace.
The ideal candidate is reliable, positive and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment. Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not required—we are happy to train the right person.
Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment
Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized and operating efficiently
Return clean dishes and equipment to their proper storage areas
Maintain clean floors, sinks, work surfaces and garbage areas
Remove garbage,
recycling and cardboard throughout the shift
Assist with general kitchen cleaning and closing duties
Support the kitchen team with easy prep tasks when needed
Follow all food-safety, sanitation and workplace-safety procedures
Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure service runs smoothly
Requirements
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding workplace
Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds
Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is an asset but not required
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
