MERRITT SECONDARY SCHOOL seeks a part time Student Support Teacher starting September 1, 2026. This role requires adapting learning materials and supporting diverse student needs in a cooperative setting.

This 0.40 FTE temporary position is available until June 30, 2027. The ideal candidate will have experience working with grade-level students, adapting resources, and a strong familiarity with the BC Curriculum. You'll develop and modify learning outcomes to support a variety of needs while fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Key Responsibilities: • Adapt materials and assessments for diverse students • Support social-emotional learning initiatives • Collaborate as part of the school team • Maintain positive relationships within the school community • Participate in training to enhance inclusive practices

Requirements: • Valid BC Teaching Certificate • Category five or higher of teaching certification • Commitment to diverse learning environments • Experience in adapting educational resources • Training in social-emotional learning preferred
