Construction Surveyor / Survey Assistant

HELIX is hiring for a Construction Surveyor / Survey Assistant position based out of Grande Prairie, Alberta.

We work on residential and commercial construction projects throughout the region and are looking for someone reliable, motivated, and interested in building a long-term career in the construction industry.

Survey experience is an asset — but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

This role is ideal for someone who:
enjoys working outdoors,
likes construction and equipment,
wants a career instead of just another job,
and is dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn.

What the job involves:
Construction layout and staking
Operating GPS and survey equipment
Operating photogrammetry and lidar drones
Working with construction crews and site supervisors
Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Primarily working in Grande Prairie and surrounding area, home most nights
Some travel,



for short duration within a 500km radius of Grande Prairie

What we’re looking for:
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Comfortable working outside year-round
Interest in construction, surveying, or heavy equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license
Experience in surveying, construction, or civil work is an asset but not required
