At Natus Medical, we develop technology that helps clinicians make critical decisions and improve patient outcomes. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to help design and develop the next generation of innovative medical devices.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, developing sophisticated electrical systems, and seeing their work progress from concept and design through testing and implementation.

You’ll work alongside talented colleagues across electrical, mechanical, software, quality, and other disciplines while also providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

This is a hybrid position based in Oakville, Ontario. Candidates must be able to travel to our Oakville office when necessary.

What You’ll Get to Do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to: Design, develop, and test electrical circuits and systems for medical devices, ensuring designs meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Work across circuit analysis, signal processing, battery-powered systems, analog acquisition, system identification, and control systems to solve challenging engineering problems.

Collaborate with mechanical engineering, software engineering, quality assurance, and other cross-functional partners to develop and implement new products.

Take on complex electrical engineering challenges, using strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.

Provide technical leadership, guidance,

and mentorship to junior engineers, helping develop both their technical capabilities and engineering judgment.

Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, test reports, and design records, ensuring electrical systems and designs are accurately documented.

Apply design control and risk management processes throughout development.

Help ensure our products meet applicable FDA, CE, ISO 13485, and other regulatory and industry requirements. What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with deep electrical engineering expertise who can move comfortably between detailed technical work, cooperative problem-solving, and technical leadership.
