Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll partner with finance leaders across the organization to solve complex accounting challenges and ensure the integrity of CGI's financial reporting.
Responsibilities include
- Serve as the trusted advisor on complex IFRS accounting matters for Business Units and Corporate Finance teams.
- Research, interpret and document IFRS guidance for new business transactions, emerging accounting issues and evolving standards.
- Develop, maintain and communicate CGI's global accounting policies and technical accounting guidance.
- Support the accounting and financial reporting of acquisitions, business combinations and other strategic corporate transactions.
- Review quarterly and annual consolidated financial statement disclosures to ensure compliance with IFRS requirements.
- Collaborate with Consolidation, Tax, Treasury, Legal and other corporate functions to resolve technical accounting matters.
- Coordinate the bilingual review and translation of key financial reporting documents, including financial statements, MD&A; and earnings communications.
- Deliver accounting policy training and technical guidance to finance professionals across the organization.
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives, process improvements and special projects that strengthen financial reporting excellence.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation or advanced progress toward completion.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience, ideally with a Big Four or national accounting firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial statement presentation.
- Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
- A proactive, curious and collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience with accounting for acquisitions or business combinations.
- Exposure to multinational or publicly traded organizations.
- Experience developing accounting policies or technical accounting documentation.
- Experience delivering finance training or technical presentations.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000–$110,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
