Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Reports To: CFO

Department: Finance

Status: Full time, Permanent

PURPOSE: As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide analytical support to empower business leaders to make timely and well-informed decisions. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the position is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting including financial statement preparation and customer revenue and margin reporting, as well as providing financial analytical expertise to various functions and projects in support of key decision making.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Prepare and analyze segmented monthly financial statements, including comparative and variance analysis.
- Develop KPI dashboards and management reporting that highlight key business performance drivers and support decision-making.
- Prepare daily and weekly customer volume, revenue, and contribution margin reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Perform financial and operational analysis using multiple data sources and financial/data models.
- Develop flexible financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and business decisions.
- Support the Senior Pricing Analyst with rate-action scenarios, contribution margin and gross margin analysis, and customer quotations.
- Assist with the preparation of financial plans, forecasts, and budgets, including managing multiple iterations and assumptions.
- Review monthly account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
- Improve reporting and forecasting efficiency through automation and process enhancements.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, and improved financial performance.





SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- CPA or CFA designation, or actively enrolled in a recognized program.
- 2+ years of relevant financial analysis, accounting, or related experience.
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to transform large, complex data sets into structured reporting, meaningful insights, and concise management-ready recommendations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including conditional formulas, indexing, data validation/dropdowns, slicers, Power Pivot, and Goal Seek.
- Proficiency with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of cost concepts, cost behaviour, contribution margin, and profitability analysis.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound business judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial information to business stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Customer-focused and collaborative, with the ability to effectively support internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with developing processes and structure.
- Able to perform effectively during periods of increased workload and deadline pressure.

Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
