Support individuals in crisis as a Psychiatric Intensive Care Emergency Nurse. Focus on crisis stabilization, conducting thorough assessments, and collaboratively designing recovery-focused care. This impactful role centers on providing immediate care to clients facing acute mental health challenges.
As an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, you will implement mental status assessments, manage risk, and develop care strategies tailored to patient needs. Your commitment to effective communication will ensure all parties involved in care remain informed and engaged. Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed risk and mental health assessments
Collaborate on care planning with healthcare specialists
Conduct patient and family education sessions
Facilitate access to community resources and support
Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions Requirements:
Registration as an RN or RPN in BC required
Minimum of two years of related experience
Basic CPR certification must be current
Familiarity with psychiatric standards and legislative guidelines
