Business Architect — Roadmap & Operating Model
Summary
We are seeking a Business Architect to lead an initial 2-month planning phase for a major enterprise transformation. You will design the Target Operating Model (TOM), author a fundable 12-month roadmap, and build real-world people-transition plans to set up multi-year project execution. Successful delivery in planning phase will convert this engagement into a 1-year contract with potential for long-term renewal.
Key Responsibilities
Author a budget-ready, 12-month initiative roadmap and execution strategy.
Design capability-based organization structures and Target Operating Models (TOM).
Develop actionable, named people-transition and redeployment maps.
Write detailed role definitions suitable for direct recruitment.
Defend strategic talent recommendations (e.g., direct-hire vs. partner capacity).
Requirements & Key Qualifications
Proven Experience:
Track record authoring a 12-month transformation roadmap that was successfully funded, along with real-world capability-based TOM design.
Organizational Restructuring: Hands-on experience executing actual people-transition and redeployment plans (not just theoretical slides).
Recruitment-Ready Drafting: Ability to write granular role definitions that talent acquisition can directly recruit against.
Strategic Courage: Comfortable making and defending tough recommendations regarding capacity and gap remediation.
Pluses / Assets: Experience in insurance or financial services; BIZBOK/TOGAF familiarity; bilingual (French/English); regulated or unionized setting exposure; CRM product management background.
