Location: Elksentre Arena -4833 Heather Rd, Prince George, BC V2K 5Y3

Kin 2 Arena - 2181 Ospika Boulevard, Prince George BC V2N6Z1

Terms: Part-Time, Temporary

Hours: 15 hours per week

Shift: Shifts times vary between mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Must be available at least 4 times per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

End Date: April 2, 2027

Salary: $26.65 per hour

Reports To: Director, Municipal Operations

Our state- of-the-art centres of community offer a range of health, fitness, and aquatics programs for individuals and families.

The Supervisor, Skating Services will have a passion for skating and community recreation, solid leadership skills, and proven experience in program coordination and staff supervision. Responsibilities include scheduling and payroll for staff, coordinating skating programs, managing invoicing and communications, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Major Responsibilities

Staff scheduling and payroll

Invoicing and communication with School groups

Communicate concerns with Director and City staff, such as required maintenance

Work with the YMCA Marketing and Communications team to make social media posts, newsletters and posters/flyers

Provide staff coverage when needed

Plan and facilitate special events

Ensure staff have necessary supplies and equipment

Respond to concerns, refund requests and customer service issues

Provide coaching and mentorship to Cashiers and Ice Attendants

Cash management

Qualification

At least 2 years experience in a related position

Possess a valid Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED certificate

Have access to reliable transportation

Demonstrated achievement of administrative tasks





Strong attention to detail

Demonstrated supervisory experience

Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references

Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
