Assistant Store Manager – Take 5 Oil Change Ajax

Pay: CA$19.00–CA$22.00 per hour

Schedule: Weekdays, evenings and weekends

Take 5 Oil Change Ajax is hiring an experienced Assistant Store Manager to help lead our team and support daily shop operations.

This is a very hands-on position. The Assistant Store Manager is expected to work directly on customer vehicles alongside the team. This is not an office-only management role, performing oil changes and preventative maintenance services is a core part of the job.

Responsibilities
Work directly on customer vehicles throughout each shift
Perform oil changes and preventative maintenance services
Lead, coach and support technicians
Train employees and ensure safety procedures are followed
Recommend appropriate vehicle maintenance services
Handle customer concerns and act as Manager on Duty when required
Assist with opening, closing, inventory and daily paperwork
Maintain a clean, secure and efficient shop

Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of automotive, quick-lube or similar hands-on experience required
Must be confident servicing common vehicle makes and models
Must be willing to work on vehicles every shift and lead by example




Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Reliable, organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Available to work evenings and weekends
Valid Ontario driver’s licence preferred
