Position Overview

Ottawa PoolWorks is hiring qualified Aquafit Instructors to teach programming to participants in a secure, engaging, and enjoyable manner while following the guidelines of the certifying agency and adhering to all corporate and departmental policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure participant safety
Provide exercise instruction and demonstrations
Modify exercises as needed
Monitor participants throughout classes
Follow certification guidelines
Follow company policies and procedures
Maintain required certifications
Set up and put away equipment
Maintain a clean and safe class workplace
Record attendance




Communicate with participants and staff
Report safety or facility concerns
Arrive prepared and on time

Required Qualifications
Valid National Lifeguard – Pool Certification
Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C
Aquafitness Instructor certificate (CALA, YM-YWCA, WaterART or other recognized certification)

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
