Join BC Hydro’s Transmission Lines/Substations team as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. You’ll perform high voltage studies and maintain engineering standards in this full time position.
In this senior engineering role, you'll be instrumental in conducting electrical studies for transmission systems rated from 60 kV to 500 kV. Collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure effective project management and develop technical specifications.
Your contributions will help drive innovation and ensure client needs are met while adhering to engineering accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct electrical studies for design of transmission lines
Develop and maintain engineering standards
Manage medium to large electrical projects
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning
Mentor junior engineers and promote career development
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Registration as a Qualified Engineer or eligibility
Minimum 8 years of utility industry experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Familiarity with relevant software applications
Lend your expertise in electrical engineering and collaboration to BC Hydro as you support vital infrastructure projects.
