Optometric Assistant Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented and experienced Optometric Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support our optometrists in providing excellent patient care by assisting with pre-testing, administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience for every patient.

Optometric Assistant Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone




Conduct preliminary eye tests using automated equipment prior to exams
Collect and update patient medical and vision history
Assisting parents in learning about Myopia Control and treatment options
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
Support the optometrist and clinical team with daily operations

Optometric Assistant Qualifications
Previous experience as an Optometric Assistant
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work in a quick-paced clinical environment
Comfortable using computerized systems and learning recent technology
Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and professionalism
