BRAKE PRESS OPERATOR-Markham, ON
Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm and Friday 7am -11:15am

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate CNC press brake or similar bending machines to produce high-quality parts
Set up, select, and modify CNC programs as required
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements
Perform basic programming edits using CNC controls and related software
Read and understand blueprints, work orders, and other process documentation to produce required parts for assembly and finished products.
Set up and operate brake press, making adjustments as required, to ensure product meets engineering specification.
Responsible for checking quality of formed product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for subsequent production steps.




Responsible to adhere to production standards
Follow health and safety standards and company policy at all times
Perform other duties as required

QUALIFCATIONS:
Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
Ability to setup machine using engineering drawings
Must be able to self-check for parts quality to ensure parts are produced defect-free.
Have an aptitude for math, problem solving, and the ability to learn new skills.
Ability to work independently and cooperate within a team.
Ability to communicate well with others and be detailed-oriented.
Willing and able to adapt to high pace and high-pressure work setting
