We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team in a fast-paced industrial kitchen workplace. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary qualified who takes pride in scratch cooking, quality food preparation, and working as part of a dedicated team.Qualifications

Start times as early as 5:00am
Shifts typically ending by 3:00pm
8.5 paid hours per shift
Most week shift Monday to Friday
Compensation $24.99 hr

Job Responsibilities
Rotational 4 week menu cycle
Cutting and trimming meats
Preparing soups, sauces and gravies
Cooking and preparing starches
Preparing fresh vegetables and side dishes
Following standardized recipes and menu specifications
Maintaining food quality, safety, and sanitation standards
Assisting with inventory control and proper food storage




Working efficiently in a high-volume industrial kitchen setting

Qualifications
Must be able to acquire food safety certification
Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Red Seal Certified Cook with a minimum of 2 years' experience working in an industrial or institutional kitchen;
Post-secondary Culinary Diploma with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial, industrial, or institutional kitchen.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Education

We are seeking an experienced Red Seal Chef or candidates with a minimum of two years' experience in high-volume industrial cooking .

Compensation: Starting at $24.99 per hour full time 42.5 hrs per week.
