Lead a compassionate team at Xyólheméylh in Fraser Valley, promoting Indigenous values for families. This pivotal full-time role emphasizes cultural diversity while strengthening families and supporting children in foster care.
As a Family Strengthening Team Leader, you'll provide direction and training to staff, ensuring integrated service delivery in our Indigenous Child & Family Service Agency. Your experience in child welfare will guide you in evaluating family needs and facilitating meaningful family visits while connecting children to their culture and community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and support to the family strengthening team
• Assess risks and strengths of families receiving services
• Facilitate meaningful family time for children in foster care
• Deliver family education programs as per assessments
• Ensure ongoing evaluation of family support needs
Requirements:
• BSW or related degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong relationship-building abilities with Indigenous communities
• Proven skills in problem solving and conflict resolution
• Valid BC Driver’s License and explicit criminal record check
