The Government of Ontario is committed to Ontario’s online market for internet gaming (iGaming) that is both competitive and protects consumers. iGaming Ontario was established in July 2021 as an agency of the Government of Ontario to conduct and manage internet gaming in the province when provided by private gaming operators.

Departmental Summary
The Human Resources team supports employees and leaders throughout the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to learning, development, and employee engagement. Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, the team provides guidance on HR programs, policies, and processes. This co-op opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of HR functions and provides valuable hands‑on experience in a professional HR setting.
Work Description:
Learning & Development (L&D;)
Review and process L&D; approval requests.
Share approved L&D; activities with relevant departments and personnel.
Maintain accurate records of L&D; activities in employee files.
Health & Safety
Update and maintain information on the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) notice board.
Participate in JHSC monthly inspections.
Recruitment Coordination
Schedule interviews with job candidates in coordination with hiring managers.
Send assessments to candidates and track completion.
Organize and prepare interview packages for hiring managers
Employee Documentation
Prepare,
issue, and support employment and employee change letters, and submit IT tickets to facilitate employee change processing.
HRIS Support
Assist with data entry, updates, and maintenance of employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Other
Support the planning and execution of the employee town hall.
Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary co‑op program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

You must meet all eligibility criteria by the first day of employment:
Co‑op Student Status: Enrolled as a full‑time post‑secondary student in a co‑operative education program at a recognized institution.
Work Environment: You must be living in the province of Ontario during the term ofemploymentand youare required towork in office5days a week.
Work Status: Eligible to work in Canada.
