Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 3rd Year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The right 2nd year would also be considered. This role offers a valuable opportunity for individuals progressing through their automotive repair training to gain hands-on experience in a qualified workplace workplace.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in mechanical work, customer service, and technical skills, with a focus on developing their expertise in automotive diagnostics and repairs.

Duties
Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing various automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs and assembly work
Conduct heavy lifting of vehicle components and parts safely and efficiently
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Support the team in vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and component replacements
Read and interpret schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and part replacements




Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and mechanic skills

Skills
Prior experience is highly desirable
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive repair processes
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately
Experience with vehicle assembly and maintenance tasks
Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or working under vehicles
Basic understanding of automotive systems and troubleshooting techniques
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while following safety standards
Must show honesty, integrity and loyalty

This position is an excellent opportunity for aspiring automotive technicians eager to develop their skills in a professional setting while contributing to quality vehicle service. Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Education
AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:
registered apprentice: 2 years (preferred)
