Duarte Group is a social media marketing agency that’s all about creativity, community, and delivering results.
We’re a remote, woman-owned, all-women team who love what we do and who we do it for. We’re vibrant, passionate, and focused on collaboration, all while making a real difference for our clients. We get results, give back consistently to our community, and do great work for great people.
And… we’re hiring!
As our Senior Social Media Content Creator, you'll take ownership of the design and content vision across our client roster — leading concepts from idea to final delivery. This role is built for a strong designer and editor with an established portfolio who knows how to turn a brand's strategy into scroll-stopping, platform-native content, and who's ready to bring that eye and expertise to a growing agency.
This full-time, permanent position is remote, with one day per month in our Hamilton, Ontario office. You’ll work 9am-5pm EST, with occasional nighttime and weekend hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the creation of high-impact, brand-aligned static and motion social media content across Meta, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
- Own the full creative process for client content — from concept and moodboards through final delivery — ensuring every piece is polished, on-brand, and platform-optimized
- Capture and edit photo and video content, including Reels and TikToks, using both client-provided materials and your own creative direction
- Ability to write clever, professional, and catchy captions that are optimized for each social media platform
- Familiar with most social media design, editing, and scheduling softwares like Canva, InDesign, Figma, CapCut, HeyOrca, etc.
- Create content based on client-specific social media strategies and with platform performance in mind - editing for retention, engagement, and shareability across organic and paid placements
- Collaborate with account managers and other creators to develop content concepts and ensure alignment with client goals
- Stay on top of new social media trends with an interest in how they could be applied to our clients
- Produce authentic, creator-style content that feels native to social platforms - including appearing on camera when appropriate to support client campaigns
- Leverage emerging AI tools for content ideation, editing, and creative production, staying current on evolving AI workflows that increase speed and output quality
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
- You can take a blank brief, a rough product shot, or an empty content calendar and turn it into something great
- Content is polished, on-brand, and consistently elevates how our clients show up online — no rough edges
- You communicate proactively and take full ownership of your work — deadlines are met without needing to be chased
- Concepts move from idea to final delivery on time, with minimal revisions needed
- Clients' feeds and campaigns noticeably level up under your creative direction
- You're spotting design, video, and platform trends before they go mainstream — and know how to apply them
- Creative direction feels intentional and strategic, not reactive
- You're comfortable in client-facing situations — whether that's a conversation about content needs, a walkthrough of design rationale, or directing the room on an in-person shoot day
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in social media content creation or graphic design, along with a degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, is considered an asset
- Agency experience is preferred
- Advanced ability to design brand-aligned visuals and videos for social media using Canva, Figma, and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects considered an asset), with a robust command of typography, colour, layout, and motion
- Updated, current portfolio demonstrating polished static design and short-form video work across multiple brands or industries
- Strong experience shooting with an iPhone; proficiency with DSLR or other camera equipment is considered an asset
- Proficiency and deep understanding of social media channel trends, platforms and tools, including Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
- Proven ability to lead content concepts from idea to delivery with minimal oversight
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to give and receive creative feedback and tailor content for different platforms and audiences
- Very close attention to detail and ability to work independently
- A team player and a self-starter - the ideal candidate thrives in a social environment, is easy to work alongside, and gets the job done on time, every time
- Must be located in the Greater Toronto/Hamilton Area, as one day per month will be required in-office in Hamilton, Ontario
- Must have the ability to travel within Canada and the United States, as necessary.
PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS:
Please include examples of
- Short-form social video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts), including any motion graphics or animation work
- Static and graphic design work demonstrating strong brand alignment
- Caption or copy samples across different platforms or industries
- UGC or creator-style content (if applicable)
