Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company trucks and complete local deliveries
Deliver building materials to customer locations and job sites
Assist with loading and unloading materials
Lift, carry, and move heavy building materials throughout the workday
Secure loads properly and complete pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and communicate professionally with customers
Follow all company safety procedures and transportation regulations
Assist with warehouse or yard duties when required
Mandatory Requirements
Valid AZ Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record
Comfortable with frequent lifting and moving of heavy materials
Able to work safely in a physically demanding workplace
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Strong attention to safety and proper material handling
Valuable communication and customer-service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous forklift operating experience; certification is an asset
Experience delivering building materials, construction products, lumber, drywall, roofing, or similar products
Previous flatbed, boom truck, or job-site delivery experience is an asset
Knowledge of load securement and secure unloading procedures
Warehouse, yard, or building-supply industry experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate
Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
driving (as an AZ license holder): 1 year (required)
Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
