We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team in a part time or contract capacity. Potential for full time hours if the candidate is able to help in our front shop as well as perform bookkeeping duties. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for helping maintain financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Process invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws.
Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately in accounting software.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
Manage and maintain accurate records of financial transactions for audit purposes.
Communicate with vendors, clients,



and internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
Stay current on changes to financial regulations and compliance standards.
Provide general support to the business owners as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, or similar role.
Ability to answer the phone and take messages.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Robust understanding of accounting principles and practices.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance is a plus.
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
