Impact student learning as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher in the Durham District School Board. This role fosters an inclusive classroom setting and encourages a love for learning among students.
As an LTO for DDSB, you’ll tap into your teaching passion to create stimulating lessons that align with the curriculum. Engage with students in Grades 2 and 3, assess their progress, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborate with fellow educators and the community to enhance learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop engaging curriculum-aligned lessons
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom workplace
• Collaborate with colleagues and community
• Adapt materials to meet diverse student needs
Requirements:
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• Qualify for Primary-Junior level assignments
• Experience with Grade 2 and 3 curriculum
• Current Criminal Background Check with screening
• Ability to work collaboratively in diverse settings
