Sr. UX Designer

Location -Kanata Canada - Remote

M-F 40hrs per week

What You Will Do

- Lead end-to-end design for complex features or product areas.
- Translate user needs and business goals into intuitive and elegant design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Plan and conduct user research and usability testing to validate and improve designs.
- Advocate for design quality, user-centric thinking, and accessibility.
- Mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to and help evolve the design system and UX processes

- Proficient in facilitation of workshops, critiques, and cross-functional alignment.
- Solid understanding of design ethics and accessibility principles

Core Technical Competencies

- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools (e.g., Protopie, Framer).
- Skilled in user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and UI specifications.
- Ability to conduct or apply findings from qualitative and quantitative research.
- Understanding of responsive design, mobile-first principles, and front-end collaboration.
- Familiarity with design systems and version control for design assets.
- Experience working within Agile or Lean UX methodologies.
