Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care
Location: Saanichton, BC
Compensation: $19.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
Central Saanich Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care to join our team! Our clinic is located in the heart of the beautiful Saanich Peninsula. We see a wide variety of creatures, including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, reptiles and even fish! Our hospital puts a strong focus on our patient's needs and providing them the best care that we can. We have been AAHA Accredited for 35 years! We believe in providing our staff with all the tools, resources, benefits, and support required to not only take care of their patients, but also to take care of themselves. Our hospital is open 5 days a week and offers a consistent schedule that does not include any on call time and very minimal overtime. We encourage you to apply regardless of your experience level. If you are a newer tech, we are happy to start you off in our mentorship program with one of our experienced techs until you are comfortable.
Responsibilities Create a warm and welcoming workplace for our patient and pet parents
Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
Admitting and discharging pet patients
Invoicing/billing; creating estimates,



obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments
Scheduling appointments
Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas and common areas
Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality or retail is an asset!
No experience with animals, no problem, so long as you love animals!
