Enhance community facilities at the Vancouver Island YMCA-YWCA as a full-time Facility Maintenance Worker. This role emphasizes building upkeep, repair tasks, and excellent customer service in a dynamic environment.

In this permanent full-time role, you will report to the Manager of Facility Maintenance. Expect to perform scheduled and emergency repairs across various areas of the facility, ensuring equipment and spaces are safe and functional. Your responsibilities will include using automated systems, adhering to safety regulations, and engaging directly with the public.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain pools and related equipment for safe operation
• Perform preventative and responsive repairs on facilities
• Utilize building management software for efficiency




• Talk to outside service providers regarding contracts
• Address maintenance-related emergencies promptly

Requirements:
• Certificate in a building or mechanical trade
• Experience with pool operations and necessary certifications
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• WHMIS and First Aid/CPR certifications
• Clear Police check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
