Join Toyota's agile team as a Controls Engineer in Cambridge, Ontario, on a 12-month contract. This role focuses on equipment procurement and installation projects to enhance safety and efficiency.
In this temporary position, you will lead a project team of engineers and technicians to drive stamping equipment projects from concept through production handover. Your expertise in manufacturing and project management will directly contribute to achieving key performance indicators for safety, quality, productivity, and cost. You'll also train new team members, sharing best practices to foster continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead equipment procurement and installation projects
• Research and implement new production technologies
• Train new engineers and co-ops on best practices
• Support Toyota's global information and Kaizen initiatives
• Troubleshoot and modify stamping equipment as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, MBA preferred
• 5 years in manufacturing or stamping industry
• 5 years of project management experience
• Eligibility for Professional Engineer designation in Ontario
• Strong skills in analyzing mechanical drawings and PLCs
