Make a meaningful difference as a Customary Care Coordinator at Wiikwemkoong Child and Family Services. Focus on culturally appropriate support for children and families in the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory.
This role involves comprehensive coordination of customary care agreements and active collaboration with Indigenous Child Well Being Agencies and First Nation representatives. You will develop templates, formalize processes, and ensure adherence to agreements while maintaining compliance through quarterly reviews. Your efforts will align with Anishnaabe values, fostering wellness plans and home assessments to support families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate meetings with First Nation representatives and agencies
• Develop and implement Customary Care Agreements for families
• Ensure compliance and communication with stakeholders
• Conduct quarterly compliance reviews of agreements
• Process monthly financial requests for caregivers
Requirements:
• Social Work degree or related field preferred
• 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Knowledge of First Nation community services
• Robust advocacy and communication skills
• Proficient in computer systems
