We are looking for a skilled Government Relations Specialist to join YVR’s External Relations team. This role demands at least seven years of relevant government relations experience and a strong understanding of the political landscape. You will develop advocacy strategies, conduct in-depth research, and manage relationships with key stakeholders to advance YVR’s initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop annual provincial and municipal advocacy plans
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on public policy
• Track and report issues impacting YVR’s advocacy agenda




• Maintain strong relationships with elected officials and stakeholders
• Manage emerging issues and support strategic partnerships

Requirements:
• Minimum seven years of government relations experience
• Robust analytical and report writing skills
• Knowledge of Canadian legislative frameworks
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and strategy development
• Fluency in French is an asset
