Biomed Recovery & Disposal Ltd. is hiring for the position of Shipper & Receiver!

Biomed is the largest medical waste management company in Saskatchewan. We are a growing company based in Aberdeen, SK, only 20 minutes north of Saskatoon. As a Shipper & Receiver, you will play an important role in supporting our plant operations by coordinating the movement, documentation, and organization of incoming and outgoing shipments. Working closely with the General Manager, Inventory Control Clerk, and other Biomed team members, you will help ensure products, containers, and inventory are received, stored, and shipped efficiently and accurately.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Ship and receive products purchased and sold by the company
- Inspect and load trucks following company policies and procedures
- Assist with unloading waste from trucks daily
- Pack, weigh, measure, and prepare products for shipment
- Contact carriers and couriers to arrange shipping and delivery services
- Prepare shipping documentation and track shipment costs
- Work with staff to resolve shipping discrepancies, back orders, delays, and damaged goods
- Maintain and organize inventory of products, parts, and equipment
- Assist with documenting damaged containers and returned goods
- Follow inventory control procedures and naming conventions for products and materials
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment to organize and move inventory
- Assist with inventory reporting, including product quantities,



locations, descriptions, and values
- Perform general housekeeping duties within the shipping and receiving area
- Assist production staff and perform other duties as assigned

The following skills are considered assets, but are not required, for the position:
- Shipping and receiving experience
- Forklift certification or experience
- Experience operating heavy trucks
- Inventory control or record management experience
- Knowledge of major courier services such as FedEx, Purolator, and UPS
- Experience using shipping and tracking systems
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment

This position requires a team member who is dependable, self-motivated, adaptable, safety-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working independently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Additional qualifications include

- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Ability to climb industrial stairs and ladders when required
- Strong time management and organizational skills

The position requires 40 hours of work per week at a starting wage of $21.00 per hour. Hourly wage may adjust with and reflect experience.
