Support vulnerable individuals at The Salvation Army as a Full time Emergency Shelter Worker. Work night shifts providing safety, support, and essential services to residents in need.
This role requires dedication to providing a secure environment for clients at The Salvation Army shelter. As an Emergency Shelter Worker, you will monitor client safety, manage case assessments, and assist with goal-setting and discharge planning. Your commitment to service will help clients navigate challenging circumstances and promote their well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor residents to ensure safety and security
• Conduct regular client status checks and room searches
• Implement case management for assigned clients
• Assist in setting and tracking resident goals
• Facilitate intake and discharge procedures for clients
Requirements:
• Minimum of one year in social service work
• Understanding and alignment with The Salvation Army mission
• Willingness to undergo background screening
• Relevant diploma or degree in social services
• Skills in crisis intervention and emotional support
