Become a vital part of Nova Scotia Health's team as a Dietitian at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. This role focuses on diabetes care and chronic health management in a full time capacity.
Working under the Primary Health Care Lead, you will deliver expert dietetic services, health assessments, and interventions for diabetes education. Your responsibilities extend to advocacy and collaboration with healthcare professionals to enhance community health initiatives. The role emphasizes a holistic, client-centered approach while adhering to the guidelines of the Registered Dietitians of Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver health promotion and illness prevention services
• Assess and monitor diabetes and chronic health conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance care
• Educate clients and groups effectively
• Maintain compliance with health standards and regulations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition
• Completion of dietetic internship
• Two years of clinical experience preferred
• Certified Diabetes Educator designation preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
