Support students in PLSC 335 Field Crop Disease Management as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan. Assist in identifying plant disease symptoms, marking assignments, and providing consultation.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a critical role in enhancing students' learning during the Fall term of 2026. Your responsibilities include demonstrating knowledge, grading midterms and finals, invigilating exams, and collaborating with Dr. H.R. Kutcher. This position requires 50 hours of work from September to December in a supportive, academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate plant disease symptoms to students
• Mark assignments, midterms, and final exams
• Consult with students to clarify course material
• Invigilate exams to ensure academic integrity
• Confer regularly with the course instructor
Requirements:
• Minimum B.Sc. degree in Biological Sciences
• Enrollment in a graduate program is mandatory
• Teaching experience is an asset but not essential
• Availability for 50 hours during the academic term
• Solid communication and organizational skills
