Role Description The Social Media Marketing Intern is an internship role responsible for supporting Brew and the City’s online presence and community engagement. This hybrid role is based in Calgary, AB, with a mix of in-person collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include creating and scheduling social media posts, assisting with content calendars, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments and messages across platforms.

The intern will help execute digital marketing campaigns, gather and organize café partner content,



and contribute ideas to grow audience reach and brand awareness. The role may also involve basic analytics tracking, reporting on performance, and collaborating with the team to refine social media strategies.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing to support campaign planning and execution.
- Ability in Social Media Content Creation and Marketing to develop engaging posts and stories tailored to local café audiences.
- Effective Communication skills to interact with internal team members, café partners, and online community followers.
- Interest in local businesses, coffee culture, or community-building initiatives is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with basic analytics tools (e.g., platform insights) and willingness to learn recent digital tools.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage time effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is an asset.
