Job Title: Prevention Maintenance and Operations Coordinator
Based at: Edmonton Prevention Locations
Reports to: Operations and Facilities Manager
Hours of work: 8:00-4:00 Monday-Friday (Hours flexibile)
Start date: Placeholder Date

Job Summary
The Prevention Operations and Maintenance Coordinator (POMC) is responsible for assisting in the coordination and the execution of maintenance within Hope Mission Prevention facilities. This role includes managing equipment, overseeing inventory and supplies, executing repairs and preventative maintenance, and supporting facility projects. The POMC will work closely with the various teams, assisting in Hope Mission programs when required. The primary focus of the POMC is to support the Edmonton Prevention sites and operations, specifically at the Teglar Youth Center, Next Step Thrift Shop and Red Deer location.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Schedule and execute the repairs at prevention facilities.
Oversee and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained.
Coordinate and assist with preventative maintenance programs for buildings and equipment.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure workspaces and storage areas are organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
Assist the Hope Mission Prevention program managers and coordinators with programs and operations.
Work with other staff and volunteers to execute maintenance and operations
Minimum Qualifications And Skills
Experience in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, Trades, or other related education.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanics and general repairs.
Fluent English in speaking, writing, and reading.
Highly organized and motivated individual.
Flexibility and positive attitude towards a changing work place
Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and coordinate multiple responsibilities.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Class 5 Driver’s License and ability/willingness to learn how to drive a cube truck.
Must be physically fit; no issues with standing and lifting an average of 50 lbs.
Consistently maintain positive working relationships with staff and clients
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with volunteers
Experience working with volunteers is an asset.
Experience operating maintenance equipment or tools (e.g., forklifts, lifts) is an asset.
Other Requirements
Able to work Saturdays and evenings when occasionally required.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
Able to provide Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset
