Job Description: Reporting to a Public Health Inspector Supervisor, the Public Health Inspector is responsible for a comprehensive environmental health program in the community. Using a variety of skilled and technical skills the public health inspector protects individual and community wellness through health promotion activities and enforcement of provincial acts and regulations as well as bylaws.

Education Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (BSEH)
Licenses Certificate in Public Health Inspector (Canada) (CPHI(C))
Knowledge and Abilities Provide training/info. for residential, recreation, commercial premises
Ability to facilitate reduction of communicable diseases and health hazards
Ability to investigate complaints to ensure compliance with legislation
Ability to facilitate community development and encourages a healthy environment
Ability to performs tech.assessments, provides consultative/educational services
Other Information Must possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle available for work.
