Humans of HR's client is an established and growing North American manufacturing organization operating advanced, highly automated production facilities. With a strong focus on operational discipline, quality standards, and scalable growth, the company continues to invest in its infrastructure, systems, and leadership team.They are currently seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to take full ownership of site operations at a key Canadian facility.About the Role:This position carries end-to-end accountability for plant performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational consistency, strengthening internal processes, and building a high-performance culture rooted in safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.This is a leadership opportunity for someone who is equally comfortable on the production floor and in strategic planning discussions — a hands-on operator who thinks long-term.Core Responsibilities:Operational LeadershipDirect all plant operations to achieve established production, efficiency, and quality targets.Analyze performance metrics and implement initiatives that improve throughput and equipment reliability.Establish, refine, and enforce operating procedures and production standards.Oversee inventory accuracy, bill of materials integrity, and performance reporting.Optimize ERP utilization to support manufacturing processes and data accuracy.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure operational alignment across departments.Continuous Improvement & ComplianceLead structured improvement initiatives using recognized methodologies such as Lean and root cause analysis.Maintain rigorous safety and compliance standards across the facility.Ensure internal systems and certifications remain audit-ready and continuously improving.Support risk management, emergency preparedness, and internal control processes.Team & Culture DevelopmentProvide leadership and direction to the operations leadership team.Build a culture grounded in accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.Guide workforce planning, training, and cross-functional capability development.Navigate employee relations matters within a unionized setting.Lead organizational change initiatives that support business growth.Qualifications:Minimum 8 years of progressive experience within a manufacturing environment.At least 5 years in senior plant-level leadership with full operational accountability.Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.Demonstrated success improving efficiency, productivity, and overall equipment performance.Experience implementing structured continuous improvement frameworks.Strong systems acumen, including ERP usage within a production environment.Experience leading within a unionized setting is considered an asset.The ideal candidate is:A visible, floor-oriented leader who sets the tone through action.Decisive and data-driven, with strong problem-solving capability.Comfortable managing complexity in a fast-paced production setting.Skilled at coaching leaders and building cohesive teams.Adaptable and emotionally intelligent, with strong communication skills.What's Offered:Competitive base salary ($140,000 – $190,000).Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.Paid time off.A stable yet growth-oriented manufacturing environment.The opportunity to shape and elevate plant operations within an expanding organization.
