This role emphasizes collaboration with team leads and cultural elders to implement Anishnaabe values. You will actively participate in developing cultural resources, training staff on traditions, and integrating cultural practices into community initiatives. Your work will significantly impact the lives of children, youth, and families in Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in monthly supervision with the Cultural Services Team Lead
• Collaborate with Knowledge Keepers to maintain cultural resources
• Provide training on cultural practices and ceremonies
• Facilitate cultural practices in daily activities
• Deliver services to children, youth, families, and the community
Requirements:
• Deep understanding of Anishinaabe lived experiences
• Knowledge of cultural teachings and protocols
• Experience with First Nations communities
• Awareness of confidentiality and Child and Family Services Act
• Ability to understand Anishinaabemowin is an asset
