Project
The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.
Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.
Position
The Materials & Logistics Coordinator is an integral part of Woodfibre LNG's dynamic team. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for coordinating procurement execution, materials logistics, and supply chain activities required to support secure and reliable site operations. The role serves as the key interface between Maintenance, Operations, Projects, Procurement, Warehouse, and external suppliers to ensure materials, equipment, and services are available when required.
The position supports operational readiness, maintenance execution, and Turnaround events by coordinating procurement activities, transportation, expediting, inventory requirements, and logistics planning.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
Coordinate procurement activities for operational materials, spare parts, consumables, and services
Support Procurement & SCM processes including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, expediting, and supplier communication
Support the develop and implementation of Procurement & Logistics operating model required to support Operations readiness and long-term asset reliability
Support the development of supply chain strategies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks aligned with industry best practices
Track critical and long-lead materials to ensure availability for maintenance and operational requirements
Support procurement strategies for, Operating spares, Two-year operating spares, Critical equipment Chemicals and consumables & Maintenance materials
Ensure material requirements are aligned with maintenance plans, projects,
and operational priorities
Logistics & Transportation Management. Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities including Marine transportation, Trucking, Freight services Expedited shipments, Contractor logistics
Develop logistics plans supporting routine operations, maintenance activities, and emergency requirements
Coordinate movement of materials between suppliers, warehouses, laydown areas, and site locations
Support customs, import/export, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements where applicable
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delivery issues
Support warehouse operations including receiving, inspection, storage, and issuing of materials
Coordinate material staging and kitting activities for maintenance work and Turnarounds
Support optimization of inventory levels and material availability
Support Turnaround planning and execution through procurement and logistics coordination
Ensure critical materials, equipment, and services are available prior to execution
Coordinate material readiness reviews, expedited shipments, Contractor requirements, temporary logistics requirements
SCM interface for Turnaround readiness meetings and execution support activities
Support purchase order tracking, goods receipt, inventory movements, and reporting
Liaison for contractor management. Coordinate communication with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers
Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and responsiveness
Ensure logistics activities comply with applicable BC regulations and site procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on Cost reduction, Material availability, Process efficiency,
Supply chain reliability
Required Experience
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering Technology, or related discipline
5+ years of experience in procurement, materials management, logistics, or supply chain within oil & gas, LNG, mining, or heavy industry
5+ years' Experience with SAP (Hanna) or similar ERP systems
Proficient in Navisworks, Aconex, Share Point, Borealis, Autocad is an asset
Experience coordinating suppliers, contractors, and logistics providers
Experience supporting maintenance activities, projects, or Turnarounds
Knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, and transportation processes
Additional Requirements
Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset
Communication/interpersonal skills - interacting with front-line workers through to management and all hierarchical levels
Ability to be Innovative and vision-oriented with demonstrated ability to undertake strategic planning and implementation
Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and change priorities within tight time frames
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks
Energetic in pursuit of continuous improvement processes

A valid driver's license and passport
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
The position is primarily site-based in Squamish, BC (Project Site), with an initial stay period at the Vancouver Office, and involves a combination of indoor warehouse and outdoor yard work, potential exposure to heavy equipment, industrial noise, and varying weather conditions, and may require extended working hours depending on operational needs
