Drive literacy improvement across Rocky Mountain School District as a Literacy Helping/Mentor Teacher for grades K-4. This full-time role emphasizes coaching, collaboration, and evidence-based practices.
Effective September 8, 2026, until June 30, 2027, you will lead initiatives enhancing literacy instruction. Focused on building teacher capacity, the role emphasizes strong partnerships with Principals, Teachers, and district staff to create inclusive learning. Your expertise will influence K-4 literacy education, ensuring alignment with the BC Curriculum and core competencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement district literacy goals
• Promote evidence-based literacy instruction practices
• Provide classroom-embedded coaching to Teachers
• Design professional growth opportunities
• Collaborate with district leadership on literacy initiatives
Requirements:
• Robust understanding of literacy development
• Experience in differentiated instruction
• Knowledge of BC Curriculum and assessment tools
• Proven ability to mentor adult learners
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
