Our client, a well-established organization within the Canadian insurance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Burlington, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA-designated accounting professional with strong IFRS experience who enjoys working independently and partnering closely with senior leadership. This hybrid role requires 3 days per week in-office and offers broad exposure across financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, and insurance operations.
Compensation & Advantages
Salary: $95K to $120K Base Salary
Hybrid work environment (3 days per week at the Burlington, ON office)
Permanent, full-time opportunity
3 weeks’ vacation
Office closure between Christmas and New Year

Key Responsibilities
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
Lead month-end/quarter-end close, budgeting, and financial reporting processes
Prepare financial materials and analysis for senior leadership and Board meetings
Manage accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
Prepare federal and provincial tax returns and support audits and regulatory reporting
Prepare management reporting packages for brokerage operations
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
Support financial planning, forecasting, and various finance-related projects
Partner with senior leadership and business stakeholders on financial matters
Qualifications
CPA designation required/preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong technical accounting experience with IFRS and financial statement preparation
IFRS 17 experience considered a strong asset
Insurance or insurance brokerage experience strongly preferred
Experience with Applied Systems or another Broker Management System considered an asset
Advanced Excel skills and experience with AI tools
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail and a process-improvement mindset
