In this role, you won’t just be installing systems—you’ll be driving progress, supporting apprentices, and helping bring complex projects to life from the ground up.

What will you do? Manage a crewup to 2Apprentices;

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints,schematicsand electrical code specifications todeterminelayout of electrical equipmentinstallations;

Install, examine,replaceor repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lightingfixturesand other electricalcomponents;

Test electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage andresistance;

Maintain, repair, install and testswitch-gear, transformers, switchboardmeters;

Troubleshoot,maintainand repair, electrical and low voltage control systems and other relateddevices;

Arrange and coordinate safetymeetings;

Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crewmembers;

Be the point of contact with the general contractor’s sitesuperintendent;

Supervise and train apprentices on the job, asrequired;

Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirementsand alsothrough reporting violations of policies,proceduresand guidelines to immediatesupervisor;





Controlling inventory on truck,job-site, and in/out of stock (for active jobs);

Organize andmaintainmaterial lists for yourcrew;

Gathering requiredmaterial;

Responsible formaintainingcompanytools;

Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas areclean;

Work with building principals and supervisors to completeprojects;

Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspectionprocedures;

Respond to emergency calls asneeded;

Required Education & Certifications: Licensed Journeymanelectrician;

First Aid StandardLevel;

AWP Aerial work platformpreferred

Fall Arrest and/or FallProtection;

Class 5driverslicense and a clean driver abstract.

What you bring: 4 – 5 years of experience in a commercial setting as a Lead Hand Journeyman Electrician carrying out electrical tasks associated with installations and maintenance in commercial or servicesettings;

Proficient in academic and practical knowledge of the Canadian ElectricalCode;

Proficient at bendingconduit;

Experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment andsystems;

Experience planning and carrying out electrical construction tasks in a teamenvironment;

Experience working with andmaintainingvarious fire alarmsystems;

Experience performing work on power distributionsystems;

Experience interpreting blueprints andspecifications;

Experience completing underground electricalwork;

Proventrack recordof leading by example andprovidingexceptional guidance tocrew;

Ability to form materiallists;





Candidates must be comfortable working atheights;

Good troubleshooting skills, repairabilitiesand installationskills;

Able to work in high pressure, time sensitiveconditions;

Attention todetail;

Strong communications skills and customer serviceorientation;

Strong work ethic and positiveattitude;

Ability to supervise others’ work and coach for performance.

Salary Range: $45.15
