Join CFMWS as a Swim Instructor and Lifeguard in British Columbia, where you'll ensure the safety and wellness of military families through quality leisure programs. Deliver swimming lessons while promoting a healthy lifestyle in a supportive community.
As a vital part of the team, you will help Canadian Armed Forces members and Veterans through recreation and fitness services. Your role includes supervising pool activities, teaching swimming techniques, and maintaining safety regulations. You'll enrich lives by fostering skills and confidence in a fun, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide quality swimming lessons to diverse groups
• Ensure safety in pool environments for all participants
• Implement training plans and practice sessions
• Explain and enforce pool safety regulations
• Develop engaging activities for seniors and children
Requirements:
• Current NLS, CPR, and First Aid certifications
• Recognized Swim Instructor certification needed
• Experience with public interaction, particularly children
• Strong observational and communication skills required
• Ability to work independently and in team settings
