Provides crisis counselling, crisis management, advocacy, and outreach services to individuals affected by intimate partner violence
Assesses client needs and connects them with community resources. Facilitates groups, workshops, and public education initiatives
Maintains documentation and reporting requirements, collaborates with community partners, supports agency outreach and committees
Participates in clinical supervision




Provides court caseworker coverage as needed
Works flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Others as assigned
Completed degree in BSW or BISW
3-5 yrs of direct experience
Eligible for registration with & maintain good standing in a relevant skilled association
Knowledge of counselling theories and practices, including crisis intervention, short-term counselling, human development, behavioural change, communication, conflict resolution, interviewing, assessment, and evaluation techniques
Comprehensive understanding of intimate partner violence, abuse dynamics, coercive control, risk factors, and experience supporting survivors using trauma- and violence-informed approaches.
Skilled in group facilitation and knowledgeable about community resources related to IPV. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and effectiveness in working with Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, and newcomer populations.
Familiar with the justice system, domestic violence court processes, and the impacts of addictions, mental health concerns, and FASD
Possesses strong interpersonal, ethical, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage caseloads, work independently, adapt to changing priorities
Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
