Rate of Pay: $22.51 - $24.35

A Cook will be required to: Responsible for timely, proper, and efficient preparation of all food items according to the correct menu specifications, recipes, and passenger load requirements.
Ensure the proper use of raw materials in a continuous effort to keep wastage to a minimum.
Comply with and practice the company’s established Food Safety policy and procedures.
Assuring that the quality standards of the food is maintained at all times
Have basic knowledge, experience, and skills to work with various up-to-date kitchen equipment – Rational Oven, Fryer, Steam Kettles, Char Broiler, Flat top Stove, Gas range etc.
Work safely at all times, respecting specified rules and regulations while adhering to specific customer guidelines.
Job Specific Requirements: Minimum 1 year cooking experience in a hotel kitchen/restaurant or manufacturing high volume catering environment
Minimum 2 years or more of Asian/Chinese cuisine cooking experience
Manage your time and prioritize tasks in a fast paced,
time sensitive kitchen environment
Obtain and maintain, a Transport Canada Security Clearance

work an assigned schedule which may include days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays
work overtime when required
arrive to work on-time
pass a criminal background check
follow directions and communicate with supervisors and co-workers
work as a member of a team within their department and work closely with various other departments
must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Culinary degree or cooking certification preferred Red Seal preferred but not required
