JOB DESCRIPTION
The Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course CYBER DEFENSE (420-B03-LA).
This course enables students to secure and defend an IT infrastructure against malicious actors internal or external to the organization. From network architecture to privilege and access management, active defense techniques and cryptography to protect information and ensure business continuity in case of a cybersecurity incident. The students will learn how to assess and increase the resilience of the network and its components to different types of cyberattacks.
The skills acquired in this course will be reused in the Intrusion Testing and Cybersecurity Incident Management courses, where access control measures are directly tested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have thorough knowledge of cybersecurity.
Must have a master's degree in computer science or related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, or a bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field. Experience teaching an adult clientele is an asset.
Proficiency in English is required.
COURSE SCHEDULE
Wednesdays 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm (EXCEPT: October 14)
Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon) (December 19 ONLY)
This course will be delivered online. The selected candidate must have the ability to deliver a course online. The schedule and course dates may change based on the needs of the program.

This course is taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
