Become an Emergency Shelter Worker with The Salvation Army in a full time night shift role. This position requires vigilance, compassion, and crisis management skills to ensure client safety and support.
As a Residential Worker B, you'll provide essential care and monitoring for shelter residents during your shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday to Thursday). Key responsibilities include managing case files, conducting intake/discharge procedures, and intervening in crisis situations. You will also coordinate programming and provide emotional support, all while maintaining proper documentation for funders and The Salvation Army.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor safety and security of residents
• Implement case management plans for clients
• Maintain essential documentation and reports
• Facilitate resident programming and support
• Conduct intake and discharge procedures as assigned
Requirements:
• One year of frontline social service experience
• Diploma in Social Services or related field
• Addictions counseling courses preferred
• Ability to handle crisis and emotional situations
• Willingness to support the mission of The Salvation Army
